NEW YORK — Transport Workers Union President John Samuelsen ordered the 10,000 New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus drivers he represents to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks until they reach the sidewalk, reported the Daily News.

The added caution comes two days after an MTA bus driver was arrested for running over a 15-year-old girl in a crosswalk in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The criminal charges against the bus driver infuriated the union. For the full story, click here.
