Luminator Technology Group will be showcasing its robust on-vehicle INFOtransit passenger information system integrated with Apollo CCTV for onboard security and digital advertising. The company will also showcase its low-power displays for stationary applications and assorted rail lighting and display technology.
By integrating and displaying the video stream of on-board Apollo CCTV cameras with on-board INFOtransit TFT displays riders will immediately see that any crime committed is easily video recorded. While this may not always prevent a crime from occurring, violators will know that high-definition video recorded evidence is available to expedite apprehension by law enforcement officials. Liability claims against a transit agency can also be quickly and accurately video documented by the onboard camera system.

Onboard Advertising
INFOtransit is not only a great passenger information and communication tool for transit agencies; it is also an excellent platform for creating a new revenue stream for digital advertising. Luminator’s high-definition TFT screens and software enable custom advertising content to be impressively presented to passengers. The content can be triggered on date, time, stop, or location to ensure that the message is displayed at the precisely targeted moment and logged for proof-of-play afterwards.

Low-power passenger info displays
Luminator Technology Group’s BiStable display systems are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and require very little power to display information. Power is only briefly required while updates are made. When power is turned off the existing information will continue to be displayed indefinitely until the next update is received. An optional solar panel and battery enable the solution to be completely self-sufficient in applications where no power grid is available. Real-time schedule information, weather and time updates, advertising, and much more can be displayed via wireless communication equipment installed in the signs.
