With heightened concerns of infection, transit bus riders do not want to risk handling cash, touching turnstiles and fare vending machines, and other vehicle surfaces. The Vapor CLASS® Sensing System enables passengers to exit without touching a tape or bar, handle, or the exit door.

The solid-state door actuation device senses persons or objects in a pre-determined exit zone area and automatically opens the doors, allowing contact-less passenger egress. Using advanced, acoustic signal technology, the multi-function system also recognizes a stream of exiting passengers and holds the doors open, thereby reducing valuable dwell time and minimizing delays.
