The electric buses will start returning to the mixed fleet of both battery-electric and clean-diesel buses now through November.
The deal includes the purchase of at least 100 new clean-diesel buses and options to purchase an additional 500 buses.
The buses replace end-of-life vehicles and advance the City of Winnipeg’s 2050 Transportation Master Plan, aimed at safe and efficient movement of people while meeting a growing demand for environmentally sustainable transit.
