Bus Plus+ is funded by a Federal Transit Administration State of Good Repair grant and will be overseen by MassDOT’s Rail and Transit Division.
Equipment provides a safe environment for drivers to learn good driving habits and correct unsafe ones. Use of simulators is also expected to save operators on fuel and training costs.
All of the new buses are seat belt-equipped and include automatic fire suppression and tire pressure monitoring. Buses also feature complimentary Wi-Fi and power outlets for mobile computing or battery chargers.
