The suit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in the wake of a Metrolink train that derailed in Oxnard last year, alleges breach of contract and breach of warranty and seeks unspecified damages from Hyundai Rotem Co.

Several units will provide the equipment for the cars: Wabtec Passenger Transit (brakes and couplers), Wabtec Railway Electronics (PTC equipment), Bach-Simpson (event recorders) and Vapor Stone (doors).
The orders to supply rail signaling, automation and telecommunications systems total around $132.6 million.
