The first delivery includes two 2019 MCI J4500’s with a 60-passenger seating capacity, while the other four coaches are 2019 D4505 coaches.
The company now has plans to add 20 brand new vehicles to its fleet, including six, 58-seat buses and some luxury xi-seater SUVs.
The new 34-seat mini coaches feature designer upholstery, reclining chairs with adjustable footrests, and individual lighting and air conditioning controls. The large tinted windows with adjustable shades offer wide panoramic views, while an air ride suspension provides a smooth, comfortable ride.
Royal Star Hawaii’s new J4500s feature wheelchair lifts, lavatories, and A/V systems and will be used primarily for island tours and transfers. The operator will eventually receive a total of six J4500s.

The new Cummins engine and Allison transmission package on the coaches meet 2010 EPA standards that mandate near-zero NOx and particulate-matter emissions. It's a feature that appeals especially to Hawaii's Royal Star, which caters to an eco-conscious clientele.
New E4500s feature a Cummins engine coupled with an Allison Transmission powertrain, as well as Amaya Brasil seats with self-retracting footrests and Aesys destination signs.
