The opening comes after a months-long process of getting input from transit riders, area residents, elected officials, and stakeholders through a series of virtual Design Workshops, surveys, and community events — and completing construction.
Prior to joining Bi-State Development, Charles Stewart served in a variety of positions with the City of St. Louis, including director of Internal Audit and chief of staff for the License Collector, as well as audit positions with General Dynamics Corp. and Arthur Young & Co.
She joins the agency after coming out on top of an extensive, nationwide search following CEO Scott Smith’s retirement announcement in summer 2021.
