This ROD is a part of the environmental review process required by law for projects seeking federal funding through the CIG Program. Additional steps must be completed according to legal criteria before the FTA can make a determination about CIG funding for the project.
The contract, valued at more than $200,000, was awarded to Michels Corp. for work that will take place in the caverns and tunnels in the south segment of the future LIRR terminal below Grand Central.
