Intersection, a smart cities technology and media company, announced that they have been awarded a 10-year contract to sell and display advertising on the L.A. Metro Rail System by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). The new partnership calls for Intersection to bring their suite of digital and static media products to the Metro rail system, which will improve the rider experience and drive revenues for the transit authority through enhanced advertising capabilities.

Intersection and Metro will implement a wide-range of system-wide upgrades, including replacing static signage with state-of-the-art digital panels capable of delivering real-time transit updates, local information, and other dynamic content, thanks to Intersection’s IxNConnect transit communications platform. The new technology upgrades will be aimed at helping Metro better communicate with their customers and help riders navigate the system. By delivering informative and relevant content to consumers, Intersection’s media assets are highly noticed and offer advertisers the opportunity to engage consumers with adjacent advertising.

Intersection’s IxNConnect transit communications platform is being deployed throughout major transit systems, such as the Chicago Transit Authority, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, and New Jersey Transit.
