Cline Tours adds new MCI J3500s, J4500

Mississippi-based Cline Tours is adding six new J3500s and a new J4500 from Motor Coach Industries (MCI).

Cline’s new J3500 coaches are built to the exact same specifications as its J4500 models and feature industry-leading legroom in a 40-seat capacity, lavatories, best-in-class interiors, the RGB variable lighting package offering programmable interior color options, and the optional next-generation ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). The system, Bendix’ Wingman Fusion, integrates a radar, camera and braking system, providing always-on Collision Mitigation with Stationary Vehicle Braking (SVB) as well as adaptive cruise control with braking, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and traffic sign recognition.

Canada's Metrolinx taps Icomera for Wi-Fi

Ontario, Canada’s Metrolinx tapped Icomera Canada to install its solutions on GO Transit’s fleet of vehicles operating in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas. The extensive project, totaling 1,475 installations across GO Transit’s entire fleet (943 train cars and 532 buses) will begin later this year, with the Wi-Fi enabled fleet starting to roll out in spring 2020 and final completion by the end of 2020.

Icomera will supply an end-to-end Wi-Fi solution that provides GO Transit’s passengers with an elevated onboard experience. In addition to onboard Internet connectivity, passengers will be able to spend time on a media channel featuring a wide variety of curated entertainment content — making their trip on GO Transit more productive.

ABC delivers Van Hool CX45 to National Trails

National Trails Inc., of Southfield, Mich., took delivery of a new Van Hool CX45 motorcoach. The regional charter and tour operation currently runs several Van Hool T2100 coaches in the fleet, and this delivery represents the first transaction between ABC and the company’s new owner, Austin Arksey, who recently acquired the business from the Frank family.

The new 56-passenger Van Hool CX45 features many passenger amenities including comfortable passenger seats with USB and 110-volt outlets, REI Elite HDMI System with six 15.6-inch monitors, and woodgrain flooring throughout. The new CX45 will be rotated in service to support National’s diverse charter bookings for tour groups, corporate outings, school trips and athletics, nights on the town, and more.
