PITTSBURGH — The Port Authority of Allegheny County's plan to raise fares and cut service by 35% to help stem the flow of a $64 million budget deficit could impact Carnegie Mellon University's students, staff and faculty, according to The Tartan.

The steady decrease in available bus service has already changed the way that Carnegie Mellon students travel, with the university's shuttles and escort buses giving 40,000 more rides in 2011 than they did in 2009, according to campus officials. For the full story, click here.
