PALO ALTO, Calif. — A noted developer and philanthropist will possibly submit a proposal to build a 60,000- to 80,000-square-foot theater, multi-story office building and a three-level underground parking garage at the University Avenue transit center owned by Stanford University, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

The proposal represents a unique opportunity for the city, which received $2.25 million from Stanford University last year to beef up pedestrian connections between the city and campus, as well as to encourage use of public transportation. For the full story, click here.
