BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The University of Alabama at Birmingham selected a name, Blazer Express, and unveiled plans for its new transit system, which will debut in January 2014, according to the UAB Reporter. Blazer Express will operate 24 hours a day during the week. Most points on campus will be no more than a five-minute walk from a stop.

The university recently introduced a temporary bus fleet to serve the hospital remote-shuttle route until the new buses arrive in January. For the full story, click here.
