MARYVILLE, Mo. — Northwest Missourian reported that Northwest Missouri State University recently unveiled its new Safe Ride Shuttle. The bus is part of the Safe Ride Home program, which provides students safe transportation around campus and the Maryville area, while accommodating a high volume of weekend ride requests.

An official with the University Police told the paper that a challenge for the program last year was having long wait times for the program’s minivans, which can only hold, on average, six passengers at a time. The shuttle bus will be able to carry 13 riders at a time. For the full story, click here.
