ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA) tapped University of Michigan graduate Matt Carpenter to become its next CEO, mlive reported.

Carpenter has more than 15 years of experience in the transit industry, including the past eight as CEO of Strathcona County Transit in the Edmonton area. He has a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Michigan, where he studied from 2001 to 2003.
