N.Y.'s CDTA adds a new school to its Universal Access program

SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s 3,500 students, staff and employees are the latest to get full access to the Albany, N.Y.-based Capital District Transportation Authority’s (CDTA) route network through CDTA’s Universal Access program.

The agreement includes additional service and new bus stops to be constructed along Fuller Road adjacent to the campus.

“We are thrilled to welcome SUNY Poly CNSE to CDTA’s universal access family. A SUNY Poly ID is all students and employees will need for unlimited access to their classes, workplaces and anywhere else CDTA can take them,” said CDTA Chairman of the Board David M. Stackrow. “Our universal access program provides an unmatched tool for accessing all the best our region has to offer. We are excited to work with another innovative partner that understands the value of today’s transit solutions in supporting education and business. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with SUNY Poly.”

Other schools in the program include Hudson Valley Community College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Russell Sage College in Troy, as well as the University at Albany, the College of Saint Rose, Skidmore College, Schenectady County Community College, Branford Hall Career Institute, Siena College and the Albany College of Pharmacy.
