ATHENS, Ga. — University of Georgia (UGA) officials are considering replacing part of the university’s bus fleet with electric buses, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

UGA, which recently hosted a New Flyer electric bus, could purchase 16 electric buses and retire most of its pre-2007 buses if the U.S. Department of Transportation approves an $11.5 million grant. The buses could potentially make their debut in fiscal year 2017. For the full story, click here.
