The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) selected the Ohio State University (OSU) and Auburn University to receive up to $3 million in FY2016 funding though the Low and No-Emission Component Assessment Program (LoNo-CAP).

Both universities will conduct testing, evaluation, and analysis of low or no emission (LoNo) components intended for use in LoNo transit buses used to provide public transportation.

Auburn and OSU were selected because they best met the evaluation criteria, including their demonstrated capacity to carry out transportation-related advanced component testing and evaluation as well as effective facilities, laboratories, and partnerships.
