El Paso, Texas’ Sun Metro announced the launch of its new website design and the release of “Bike and Ride,” an instructional video on taking your bike with you when riding the bus.
The new website contains more in-depth information about the services offered by Sun Metro and was created to be more user friendly.
Route and fare information, LIFT services and applications, the new Sun Metro BRIO (rapid transit system), the Google-powered trip planner and a quick route finder are just a few of the features found in the newly designed website.
Along with the website, Sun Metro released its first in a series of instructional “how-to” videos. “Bike and Ride” has been posted in both English and Spanish on the Sun Metro YouTube channel and on the Sun Metro Facebook page. The video shows the step-by-step process of taking your bike with you as you ride Sun Metro, including the loading and unloading a bike.
Sun Metro plans to release more how-to videos in the near future.
The historic initiative represents the first time since MARTA began bus operations in the early 1970s that the entire system has been redrawn from scratch.
