NEWARK, N.J. — Unions representing locomotive engineers and conductors ratified contracts with NJ TRANSIT, averting a potential strike, CBS New York reports.

The two unions were the last of 11 rail unions to sign a contract with NJ TRANSIT. The other nine rail unions had signed contracts after a tentative agreement was reached in March, about a day before a strike deadline. For the full story, click here.
