Motorcoach offerings abound at BusCon 2015
The UMA is continuing its partnership with BusCon by sponsoring two informative sessions on the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 28 — Social Media Mastery for Motorcoach Operators and Alcohol - What is Your Liability? The show continues on Tuesday and Wednesday with even more educational sessions and the chance to check out BusCon’s show floor

North America’s biggest bus show, BusCon, will take place Sept. 28 to 30 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Perfect for the motorcoach operator, BusCon is packed with dedicated educational content, networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall full of vehicles and technology.
The United Motorcoach Association’s (UMA) Motorcoach Academy will present two sessions designed for motorcoach tour and charter operators as well as limousine operators, who are just entering the industry.
The sessions include “Social Media Mastery for Motorcoach Operators,” which is designed to provide operators with the tools to engage customers. Topics include: content development, advertising, branding, automation tools and more, with Eric Elliot, GM for BusRates.Com serving as presenter.
UMA will also tackle a hot topic for the industry, during its “Alcohol - What is Your Liability” session, featuring Glenn Every, president of motorcoach and school bus company Tonche Transit Inc. Drawing upon his years of experience as an attorney specializing in transactional corporate, venture capital and banking work, Every will cover ways to mitigate risk and protect passengers and companies when alcohol-related incidents strike.
Other sessions of interest to motorcoach operators include: “Navigating a Crisis in the Digital Age,” with the American Bus Association’s Dan Ronan; “Fatigue Management: What Can You Do to Limit Your Risk?” and “Bus Collisions and Determining Preventability,” as well as a look at the future of transportation and BusCon’s keynote address delivered by Mark Aesch, entitled “Driving Excellence.”
Additional offerings on the motorcoach side include the opportunity to visit with coachbuilders, including ABC Companies, MCI, Prevost, Diamond Coach, Thomas Built Buses, Turtle Top, Micro Bird Commercial and Glaval Bus, in the BusCon exhibit hall.
Operators can register for BusCon by August 28 for discounted full conference passes or a free exhibit hall pass by August 28 by visiting www.BusConExpo.com
