Veolia Transportation will continue to operate service for the Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) for another five years.

The City of Greensboro city council voted 9-0 in favor of the renewal at their monthly meeting on April 21, 2009.

The renewal, which takes effect July 1, 2009, has a three-year base with two one-year options. The fleet of 120 vehicles provides service for fixed route, paratransit, flex services and college shuttles. Veolia Transportation has operated the GTA service under contract with the City of Greensboro since 1999.
