EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — After the events of 9/11, New Jersey Transit had to change their approach to transit security, which meant a change in mindset, according to an East Brunswick Patch report. This meant implementing a new level of vigilance for the agency's transit police; a long-term effort to educate riders; partnerships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies; and an increase in special operations security training.
