LOS ANGELES — A new poll of registered voters by Field Research Corp. in San Francisco reveals 59% of Californians surveyed would not vote in favor of the state’s high-speed rail project if given another chance, Los Angeles Times reported.
The fact that costs for the $98-billion project has tripled and that the construction deadline has been extended to 2033 were cited as reasons for opposing the new rail system. For the full story, click here.
