AUGUSTA, Ga. — While the decision to outsource Augusta Public Transit remains controversial, new operator Mobility Transit Services says ridership, including on paratransit, is higher since the private firm took over, according to The Augusta Chronicle.

During 2009 and 2010, Augusta Public Transit averaged about 2,300 individual weekday trips, according to data filed with the Federal Transit Administration. Since June, paratransit ridership is up 2%. For the full story, click here.
