Utah using social media to discuss rail project

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) held its fifth in a series of Twitter chats, answering questions from the public about the new Provo-to-Salt Lake commuter rail service set to begin this fall. UTA's embrace of Twitter and other social media has been ground breaking in Utah, according to the Daily Herald.

In addition to hiring a full-time social media specialist, the agency has been able to respond to many individual customers using social media and found it can discover problems in real time from their customers, the paper reported. For the full story, click here.
