U. of Mich. adds 3 more hybrid buses

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — As part of a $14 million sustainability initiative launched last September, the University of Michigan added three new 40-foot hybrid-electric buses to its fleet, AnnArbor.com reported.

The university introduced its first four hybrid buses six months ago. The buses are reported to have better mileage, getting about five miles per gallon of diesel fuel, a 30% improvement when compared to the conventional U-M buses. For the full story, click here.
