After Prop. 1 failure, C-Tran regroups

VANCOUVER — The C-Tran board will discuss what to do next at a retreat meeting in January, following the rejection of a sales tax increase to pay for light rail by voters this election season. Proposition 1 would have raised the sales tax rate in C-Tran's service district by 0.1 percentage point, reports The Columbian.

The proposition failed by a margin of nearly 57% against to 43% approval — a difference of close to 19,000 votes. To read the full story, click here.
