N.C.'s PART board approves National Express contract

A contract with National Express Transit Services Corp. (National Express) to provide Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART) Express fixed-route commuter services in the Greensboro, N.C. Piedmont Triad region was approved unanimously by the board.

Services under National Express are scheduled to begin in December and will include management and operation of 42 vehicles, operating six days a week, as well as running 13 express and shuttle routes all across the Piedmont Triad.

Representatives for PART and National Express both expected a smooth transition.
