NJ Transit awards $17M for Sandy recovery

NEWARK, N.J. — As part of its superstorm Sandy “Disaster Recovery Program,” NJ Transit is awarding $17 million to firms that already have open contracts with the agency, a spokesman told The Record.  

The work will be done in 2015 and includes $5 million to HNTB to provide overall project management control, $2 million for Gannett Fleming to evaluate damage at rail system substations and $1 million for LTK Engineering Services Inc. for engineering services related to damage to multilevel railcars.
