MANOA, Hawaii — In an effort to boost ridership on its Rainbow Shuttles service, the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UH) released an app that tracks the shuttles around campus, according to Kaleo O Hawaii.

The tracking system is also part of a larger goal to create a strict, on-time schedule for the shuttles, the university’s traffic demand management coordinator told the paper. UH paid $15,960 for the app as well as the system of wireless transmitters installed in the buses. For the full story, click here.
