MARYVILLE, Mo. — Northwest Missouri State University is moving ahead with plans to implement a student shuttle service this fall as an extension of its Safe Rides Home program, the Maryville Daily Forum reported.

The shuttle's new service option, which will provide a continuously running bus capable of carrying about 15 passengers along a set route stretching between the Northwest campus and a local retail district, grew out of passenger complaints about long wait times and overcrowded vans.
