Arctic temperatures wreak havoc on Chicago rails

CHICAGO — Commuters on Chicago's rail systems — Chicago Transit Authority, Metra and Amtrak — faced service delays on Monday due to record-breaking cold temperatures, which caused problems with switching systems, the agencies reported.

Some agencies dispatched shuttles or modified services to counter the delays, according to NBC News Chicago. For the full report, click here.
