SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The University Herald reported that Syracuse University launched the ridesharing program Zimride on its campus to provide better transportation options and benefits for students, faculty and staff.

Zimride is a private service, connecting potential drivers and passengers to help make carpooling an easier option. The program will be offered and supported by three campus departments: the Sustainability Division, the Office of Parking and Transit Services, and the Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services.
