This design is perfect for applications requiring high-capacity and durability only available from a transit compressor, according to the company.

The TM43 has a capacity of 80K (SAE) / 128K (IMACA) Btu/hr to cool the passenger compartment in addition to and separate from a 15K (SAE) / 24K (IMACA) Btu/hr OEM dash air system. Features include 10-cylinder swash plate for smooth operation, heavy-duty transit clutch in multiple configurations, flexible port and mounting design for easy installation, oil sump for reliability, high and low-pressure switches for protection, and compact / light-weight design enabling mounting directly to the engine.

The TM43 is paired with a genuine Trans/Air mount, which is produced in the signature “Blue Color,” and designed using the latest in technology to ensure the highest quality product. The design is produced using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software from files provided by the OEM. FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software ensures robust cast / welded brackets and other components which are verified in an incoming inspection through the use of a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). FEAD (Front Engine Accessory Drive) software is used to select the proper belt to ensure long belt life. All Trans Air mounts are poly-V based which provides for proper alignment, auto tensioning and low maintenance.

Trans/Air manufactures a full line of climate control systems. Units, parts, service, warranty, and new or aftermarket installations are available through factory owned operations or a network of distributors throughout North America.
