CLEVELAND —With the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority's railcars approaching 30 years of service, GM Joe Calabrese says raising the money to replace them by 2025 will be a challenge, ideastream reported.
With the total price tag for 65 to 70 railcars coming in at $280 million, Calabrese said he will need assistance from the federal government as well as from the state of Ohio, which doesn’t put much money toward transit compared with other states, according to the report.
