ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico Daily Lobo reported that the University of New Mexico is considering street renovations to enhance pedestrian safety after a campus shuttle bus struck and seriously injured a student.
According to the paper, a campus shuttle ran over a student who was crossing the street against a “Don’t Walk” sign. The bus driver claimed to not to have seen the student. A campus spokesperson said that the university should focus on adding crosswalks and signage along streets with heavy foot traffic. For the full story, click here.
