U. of Arizona grad charts bicycle-theft likelihood

TUCSON, Ariz. — A University of Arizona graduate spent more than six months requesting and analyzing campus bicycle-theft reports from 2006 to 2011 to create color-coded maps and a database showing which buildings on campus have the highest number of bike thefts and, using mathematical probabilities, where students are more likely to have their bikes stolen, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
