Alleyn Harned is executive director of Virginia Clean Cities (VCC), a member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program.  Harned leads VCC’s collaborative effort to assist stakeholders and the Commonwealth in programs to improve air quality and increase energy security and economic opportunity through the use of alternative fuels and vehicles.

Va. transit fleet kicks off major CNG transition

November 5, 2014 GRTC is a member of the Virginia Clean Cities (VCC) coalition, which over the years has hosted a variety of workshops, webinars and other training opportunities for fleets interested in transitioning to CNG. Another coalition member — the City of Richmond — inaugurated its fleet of CNG refuse haulers in 2011, which set the stage for GRTC’s transition.
