[Photos] Tour NY MTA's next-generation subway cars

The MTA Board recently approved the purchase of 535 state-of-the-art, next-generation R211 subway cars. Prior to the approval, NYC Transit presented prototypes of the new cars at 34 Street -Hudson Yards to seek customer feedback, as well as introduce the future of the New York City subway to the public.

Maryland MTA denies photography restrictions

Administrator Ralign T. Wells said that MTA officers were not properly representing agency policy earlier this year when they ordered two amateur photographers to stop taking pictures and video of light rail trains. He plans to apologize to the photographers. Meanwhile, the agency faces a possible ACLU lawsuit.
