Will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Acme Feed and Seed in conjunction with the APTA Annual Meeting in Nashville.
Will be awarded for the first time in 2016 to a deserving applicant who is pursuing studies in urban transportation planning or public administration with a focus on transportation.
New scholarship will be known as the American Public Transportation Foundation (APTF) Business Member/Janie Wulkan Memorial Scholarship, in honor of his wife who died last summer.
The ultimate goal of the APTF is to increase and retain the number of young professionals entering the public transportation field as a career in order to sustain growth and improvement throughout the industry.
