The agreement gives students the ability to ride all of the transit systems in the area, including KCATA, Johnson County Transit, Unified Government Transit and Independence, Mo., by using their school ID.
Under the plan, schools would provide every student with a pass, potentially making up the cost by charging for the monthly pass as part of students’ tuition and fees.
The agreement with SUNY Polytechnic Institute includes additional service and new bus stops to be constructed along Fuller Road adjacent to the campus.
