PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island Public Transit Authority’s (RIPTA) CEO Charles Odimgbe was placed on leave as state police conduct a review of the agency’s operations, after an incident in which someone covered security cameras in a room where cash fares are counted, boston.com reported. Officials said that the decision to place the CEO on leave was made so the police could complete the review of RIPTA more effectively.
