ISHINOMAKIN, Japan — The day before the one-year anniversary of the Japanese 9.0 earthquake, which triggered a tsunami, workers in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, northern Japan, braved a snowstorm to remove a bus from on top of a building with the use of a crane, according to the Daily Mail.
The bus, which was carrying no passengers at the time, washed up on top of the building during floods triggered by the tsunami. Nearly 16,000 people were killed in the disaster, with nearly 3,300 more still unaccounted for. For the full story, click here.
