OXFORD, Miss. — University of Mississippi officials anticipate another record enrollment of freshmen this fall, leaving less space for upperclassmen and graduate students on campus, since most freshmen are required to live on campus, NEMS360.com reported. As a result, officials are looking for ways to encourage students not to bring their cars to campus and to take the bus from their apartments or from two park-and-ride lots.
Oxford-University Transit will distribute information about its service during Welcome Week for incoming students. The university subsidizes fares so that staff, students and faculty members may ride the system free. For the full story, click here.
