The Santa Clarita City Council awarded a three-year, $51.7 million contract for the first time to MV Transportation Inc. to manage, operate and maintain the city's transit services.

Under the terms of this three-year contract with seven one-year renewal options, MV will operate the city’s commuter, fixed-route, dial-a-ride and ASI transit services.

The transportation provider will also be responsible for maintaining a mixed fleet of 99 buses, including CNG, diesel and gasoline vehicles.
