Salt Lake City-basedParvus Corporation introduced its new RiderNet APC vision-based passenger counter at the Bus and Paratransit Conference of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).


RiderNet APC is one of the world's first automatic passenger counter sensor devices to use vision technology for counting people, and integrates two embedded, stereoscopic cameras that "watch" passengers as they embark/disembark from public transit vehicles. It delivers up to 98 percent accurate ridership metrics.
