BATON ROUGE — Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will hold a special meeting Friday to appoint an interim CEO following Tuesday's announcement that Bob Mirabito is resigning, The Advocate reported.
When asked whether the permanent CEO would be an internal or external hire, Board President Jim Brandt said, "all options are on the table," and that the search committee would determine how to proceed, the report said.
Mirabito, the occasionally controversial head of CATS announced his resignation Tuesday. His last day on the job will be May 6. He started with CATS in June 2013, according to The Advocate.
