Ga.’s Hinesville City Council, which runs Liberty Transit, unanimously awarded a three-year contract renewal to Transdev. The contract has additional option years for a total of five years.
Transdev provides fixed-route bus operations and paratransit services for 14,000 weekday passengers in Hinesville on its fixed-route service.
Transdev will continue to be responsible for all aspects of the operations contract including service operations, maintenance, processing ADA applications for paratransit certifications, analyzing and maintaining schedules, National Transit Database reporting and managing the advertising program for the buses.
Transdev has been Liberty Transit’s transportation partner since its inception in 2010 and has been instrumental in determining the routes, evaluating time points and schedules, selecting the hours of operation, designing the bus logo and more. Transdev GM Theodis Jackson even serves as the city’s mobility manager showing his investment and care for the community.
